Snapart is a design agency proposal project that was part of a weekly bootcamp challenge. The project is promoting a collaboration with the National Museum Wales to revive the visitor numbers since the decline due to the pandemic. The aim was to create a unique digital user experience that would make visiting the museum fun and engaging for all age groups.

Solution

To solve the problem, a brand-facing smartphone app was created which allows museum gallery visitors to scan a QR code displayed on information cards and read about the viewed artwork on their smart device without the need to crown around amongst other visitors, allowing to enjoy the experience at your own pace and space. As an interactive bonus feature, a photo filter concept was included for the users at the end of the artwork information page which allows the visitors to apply their own faces to the paintings of their choice and share them on social media as a humorous and inviting way to promote the museum to more potential visitors.
